Rupert Gather

Group Executive Chairman

Rupert graduated in Law from Exeter University in 1984. Following operational service in the British Army, Rupert has built a distinguished career in private equity and corporate finance. Rupert's 20 years' experience and 300 completed deals have given him a unique insight into the selection, appraisal and management of direct private equity investments into the UK and international companies across all industry sectors. Rupert founded InvestUK in 2013. He is intensely client-focused and a frequent visitor to China and other countries, building relationships to expand our global network.

Eva Inglander

Client Director

Eva graduated from Gothenburg University and the University of Technology, Sydney, with a BSc in International Business and Anthropology. Prior to joining InvestUK in 2014, Eva worked in marketing and business development roles while also founding companies in brand sponsorships and product development for the hospitality sector. At InvestUK, Eva is responsible for the Client Management team and has directly worked with over 100 international clients, managing their investments into UK companies and guiding their entrepreneurial journey in the UK. She values the importance of building long-term relationships and delivering a high level of care for every client.

Bobby Lyons

Group Commercial Director

Bobby is a graduate of University College Dublin and Hult International Business School, with a degree in Business and an Executive MBA in Finance and Strategy. Bobby has spent 20 years in the financial services industry in the areas of business development, strategy, and commercial growth. Reporting to InvestUK's Executive Chairman and CEO, and utilising his international experience in various financial services roles, Bobby's primary objectives are to scale the business, deliver growth and diversification and ensure InvestUK's strategy is executed effectively globally.

Simon Peacock

Operations Director

An experienced leader operating in both established organisations as well as start-up environments across a range of sectors both in the UK and internationally, Simon has held senior operational positions in corporations including B&Q, Virgin Retail and Pinnacle Telecom plc. Through his consulting practice Simon has led process development projects with businesses such as Kingfisher, British Gas, Anglian Water, EDF and Adidas Asia. Simon’s expertise and global experience is now being applied to the development and management of the operational infrastructure and technology to support InvestUK’s profitable growth.

Sunny Wang

Senior Client Associate

Originally from Shandong province in China, Sunny graduated from the University of Bristol with a degree in Law alongside qualifications in Legal Practice from the University of Law. In addition to her studies, Sunny gained experience working at several top-ranked law firms across the UK and China. Sunny has extensive experience in immigration-related deal arrangements and endorsement application assistance, working closely with financial and legal experts to provide practical and reliable assistance to international clients who come to the UK to invest and set up companies.

Shiyi Qin

Client Associate

Shiyi is from southern China and has worked as an experienced InvestUK client manager for four years.

Urban Coningham

Client Associate

Originally from Newcastle, Urban graduated with a degree in Arabic and Islamic Studies from Oxford University in 2020. Following this, Urban built extensive experience working abroad, including as a translator on UNESCO programmes in Jordan, as a volunteer on the post-earthquake recovery team in Kathmandu and post-conflict in Jaffna, Sri Lanka. Now working as a Client Associate, Urban prioritises the delivery of a friendly and professional service to clients.

Bertie Wellesley

Portfolio Development Analyst

Bertie graduated from Newcastle University with a bachelors degree in Earth Science & Accounting, focusing his studies on geological economic reports. He discovered his passion for sustainability through his analytical studies and completed an online course at The University of Cambridge in Sustainable Finance. During his studies, he was also a keen rower, competing to a high level which gave him the perseverance and determination to complete tasks to a high standard. Using these acquired skills, Bertie manages the InvestUK investment portfolio to the best of standards.

Saquib Rahman

Group Financial Controller

Saquib graduated from Oxford Brookes University in 2014 with a BSc degree in Accounting & Finance and joined the InvestUK Group as a Trainee Accountant shortly afterwards. Having obtained his ACCA qualification in 2018, Saquib has since taken over Finance Department and is now the Financial Controller for the Group and its subsidiary companies.

Jessamy Gather

FP&A Manager

Jessamy studied English at Oxford University and has since joined the FP&A Team to help InvestUK clients with their product and go to market strategies, assisting in research and preparation of business plans and investment documents.

Amy Bloom

FP&A Analyst

Amy studied History at Royal Holloway, University of London, and is currently studying for a masters in History at The University of Edinburgh. She is drawn to social history, and more specifically gender history. Amy's aptitude for writing and research contribute significantly to her work as an FP&A Analyst, and she enjoys helping to bring new business ideas to life. In her spare time, Amy enjoys open water swimming, yoga and long dog walks.

Grace Hailes

FP&A Analyst

Grace graduated from the University of York with a bachelors degree in Economics. Prior to joining the team at InvestUK, Grace worked as a Personal Assistant for an internationally renowned Leadership Coach where she gained insight into the trials of what makes a great leader and how organisations excel. As an FP&A Analyst at InvestUK, Grace uses her past experience to add value to her clients and help businesses reach their full potential. Grace tries to escape to yoga retreats in the countryside whenever possible and is passionate about keeping the office kitchen stocked with copious amounts of tea.

Theo Turvill

Lead Copywriter

Cambridge born and raised, Theo studied politics at Newcastle University before pursuing a career in copywriting. He has worked across various sectors in content and copywriting and has been published in various journalistic publications; all experience which he draws upon in his role as Lead Copywriter at InvestUK.
